Shamrock Run 5K

Join us for our first race of 2023 as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a few weeks early at our Shamrock Run 5K & 1K on Saturday, March 4. The 1K starts at 11 a.m., followed by the 5K at 11:15 a.m.

After the race, hang out and enjoy an adult beverage (included in the race fee for ages 21 and over), Irish stew (tickets provided as part of your race packet), Irish music, costume contest and other family activities, such as arts and crafts and face painting. 5K Cost:

E-1 to E-4: $30
Everyone else: $36

1K Cost:

E-1 to E-4: $10
Everyone else: $12

Units that are interested in doing a formation run may enter for free by contacting the Intramural Sports office at usarmy.jblm.imcom.list.dfmwr-sports@army.mil or by calling 253-967-6420. (Does not include shirt, medal, glass, beverage or stew)

Online registration closes Wednesday, March 1. Day-of-race registration and packet pickup will take place between 9:30–10:30 a.m. at the MWR Fest Tent. Packet Pick-Up: March 3, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. MWR Fest Tent on S 12th St., Lewis Main
Packets will consist of the following:

Custom Medal
Event T-Shirt
Custom Bib
Pint Glass
Irish Stew ticket
Drink ticket

Register by Feb. 18 to guarantee a shirt at Packet Pick Up. Registrations after Feb. 18 will pick up their T-shirt at a later date after the event.

Event Schedule: March 4: • Pre-Registration Packet Pick-up/Day-of-Race Registration: 9:30-1030 a.m. • Shamrock Run 1K start: 11 a.m. • Shamrock Run 5K start: 11:15 a.m. • St. Patrick's Day celebration festivities until 3 p.m.
