2023 Freedom Run
Join us for a fun run on the 4th of July!

Come out and join us for the 2023 Freedom Run 5K & 1K on Tuesday, July 4 at Cowan Stadium! The 1K starts at 6:00 p.m. followed by the 5K at 6:15 p.m. After the race enjoy entertainment, food trucks, live bands and other kid-friendly activities before the annual 4th of July fireworks show.
Race Fees:
- 5K Cost: $30, E-1 to E-4: $25
- 1K Cost: $12, E-1 to E-4: $10
Online registration closes Wednesday, June 28. Day of Race registration will take place onsite in Memorial Stadium between 4:30–5:30 p.m. Registration is available in person at Soldiers Field House or over the phone at 253-967-4771.
The Freedom Run 5K is a loop course that is mainly flat and runs through a historical area of Joint Base-Lewis McChord. The 1K course is a flat road course that incorporates a partial lap on the track.
Packet Pick Up will take place at the MWR Fest Tent – Monday, July 3 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Packets will consist of the following:
- Custom Medal
- Event T-Shirt
- Custom Bib
Participants who register by June 15 will be guaranteed a T-shirt at packet pick-up. After June 15 registrants will be able to pick up their shirt at a later date after the event. Contact JBLMsfa@army.mil for details.
