Know Before You Go: ALCOHOL IS PROHIBITED AT JBLM PUBLIC ACCESS BEACHES By order of the commander and effective immediately until further notice, alcohol is prohibited at JBLM public access American Lake beaches to include Shoreline, the Marina, Summer's Cove, and NCO Beach due to numerous incidents of indiscipline. This effort is vital to our ability to keep these beaches open to all. To protect life, health and safety there will be increased unit patrols and MP presence for enforcement. Trash at JBLM beaches also remains a problem. Please pack out what you bring in. There are increased trash receptacles and extra bags for patron use. We appreciate your cooperation and help in keeping our beaches a safe and beautiful place for everyone to enjoy.

Please follow COVID-19 mitigation strategies posted onsite at our facilities and outlined on the COVID Blue  Hash: https://jblm.armymwr.com/happenings/covid.

FFL Transfers

FFL Firearms Transfer Form: email completed form to usarmy.jblm.imcom.list.dfmwr-skeet-and-trap-range@mail.mil. Questions? Call: +1(253)967-7056.

Washington state laws regarding the transfer of firearms have significantly changed.
The JBLM Outdoor Recreation Program is a federally licensed dealer but can no longer directly process NICS checks for handguns and semiautomatic assault rifles. Instead, ODR will submit NICS check requests to the county in which patrons reside. With this new law, you should expect a response on or about 10 days from the date your request is received (if your transaction is placed on a 30-day hold, your response will be delayed to on or about the 30th day). Further, the above additional background checks are now required on transfers of semiautomatic assault rifles, frames and receivers. Additionally, for transfers on semiautomatic rifles, proof of a safety course is now required.
