The Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) is the official charity of the United States Air Force

The Society supports the Air Force Mission by providing worldwide emergency financial assistance to Airmen and their eligible Family members, sponsoring educational assistance programs, and offering an array of base community enhancement programs that have a positive impact on the welfare of Airmen and their Families.  We’re here to meet immediate needs in an emergency.  The Society provides interest-free loans and grants based on the individual situation. 

Located on the serene banks of American Lake and boasting exquisite landscaping, American Lake Conference Center offers guests a place to gather and celebrate. The facility offers sweeping views of the lake from upper and lower banquet rooms, seating areas for relaxation and conversation and a large pavilion with firepit for your outdoor gatherings.

AER Appointments

• By Appointment (intakes & returns): AER is by appointment for intake or returns. Call our office to schedule.

• Walk-ins (emergency travel): Walk-ins are available for emergency travel (Red Cross messages death or illness), privation due to floods, fires or natural disasters.

We have many pre-designed products that are available for 1-week turn-around from time of payment and receipt of all personal items for the project.  You can review the 1-week options available in the online catalog and how to order.  You are always able to stop by and look at these in-person or call if you have questions. The Auto Center at Lewis Main has available areas and equipment for engine maintenance and rebuild and lube hoists.
