JBLM Awareness Volksmarch 5K

Come out and join us as MWR and the Directorate of Human Resources (DHR) host the 2024 JBLM Awareness Volksmarch 5K on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. in the vicinity of Heritage Hill Airpark. This event provides individuals an opportunity to participate in a shared experience of walking together, step by step, towards a common goal. In this case, that goal is multifaceted: physical fitness, community engagement, and accessing SHARP, Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP), Family Advocacy Program (FAP), and Integrated Prevention and Resiliency Office (IPRO) resources. Along with the Awareness Volksmarch local organizations will set up booths along the route and in the vicinity of the start/finish line, providing information on resources available from mental health and personal growth services to activities happening on the installation.

The first 1,000 finishers receive a finishers medal! In addition, there will be entertainment and food booths for your enjoyment.

Race Fees are as follows:

5K – FREE           

Online registration closes Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 11:59 p.m.

Packet Pickup will occur on Friday, Sept. 13 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at Jensen Fitness Center, 2022 Liggett Avenue on Lewis Main.

Day-of-Race registration and Day-of-Race Packet Pickup will occur between 8–9:15 a.m. at the Heritage Hill Airpark, 517 Barnes Blvd, McChord Field.   

The 5K course is an out-and-back course that is mainly flat.

 Packets will consist of the following:

• Custom Bib

Finisher Medals will be handed out at the Finish Line.

Friday, Sept. 13:

• Packet pick-up and in-person Race Registration will occur on Friday, Sept. 13 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at Jensen Fitness Center, 2022 Liggett Avenue on Lewis Main.

Saturday, Sept. 14:

• Packet pick-up and Day-of-Race Registration will occur between 8-9:15 a.m. in the vicinity of Heritage Hill Airpark, 517 Barnes Blvd, McChord Field.
• The JBLM Awareness Volksmarch 5K will start at approximately 10 a.m. in the vicinity of the Heritage Hill Airpark, 517 Barnes Blvd, McChord Field.
