Basic Alpine Course

Learn alpine climbing through the Basic Alpine Course with four in-class lectures (starting Feb. 22) and a three-day winter overnight trip.
The course will provide education and leader-led trips into the alpine regions. Divided into three distinct sections, the mountaineering subdivision will progress participants to the basic level of rope team member on glaciated terrain. This is accomplished through educational classes and a skill demonstration excursion covering basic skills. Successful completion of this course will qualify participants for MWR Alpine Mountaineering summit climbs.
$450; includes equipment and transportation.
Meets 6–9 p.m. at Adventures Unlimited: Feb. 22, March 1, 8 & 15. Field trip March 26-28.
