Note: This event has already passed.

Join us at Grandstaff Library for D.E.A.R. Day Saturday, April 12 from 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. D.E.A.R. stands for "Drop Everything and Read," a celebration held nationwide April 12 in honor of Beverly Cleary’s birthday who wrote about D.E.A.R. in Ramona Quimby, Age 8. The concept of “Drop Everything and Read” is referenced in the second chapter of the book, and Ramona is the campaign spokesperson. On this day, families are encouraged to take at least 30 minutes to put aside all distractions and enjoy books together. Grandstaff and Book Patch libraries offer a cozy place to sit with a good book and read! Plus, we’ll have lots of activities and prizes for everyone who completes our 30-minute reading challenge
