If you'd like to hunt at JBLM, you'll need to get your Hunter Safety course certificate. Here's the perfect opportunity to get started! Classes are being held June 14, July 12 and Aug. 16. Once you complete the online portion of the class, you'll attend a class at the Skeet Range to take your written exam and complete a field safety test. Who: Individuals born after 1 Jan 1972 must complete a Hunter Safety Course
Where: Outdoor Recreation Shotgun Shooting Complex, JBLM-Lewis Main (3969 2nd Division Range Rd.) NOTE: Park at the Scouts Out Gate & enter the walk-through gate to the range, approx. 100 steps

Time: 6–9 p.m. Fridays, June 14, July 12 and Aug. 16

Cost: $10 per student (nonrefundable) will be made when you arrive for your Friday class.
Registration Process: Individuals must complete the online course with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) webpage under Hunter Education: Online Class Sign-Up Registration. Be sure to read all information and criteria. Once completed, register for the Field Skills Evaluation Class for the Online Course.
Requirements: Students must bring a copy of your Online Certificate and able to participate in class discussion, read, write and pass a written exam, shoot a 20-GA shotgun and pass a field safety course that includes gun handling. In order to pass, students must be present for the entire duration of the class. Students who are unable to attend any portion of the course for any reason will not be given a certificate of completion, nor will they receive a refund.
