Intro to Back Country Ski/Snowboard

Intermediate (Blue Square) resort skiing ability level. Travel uphill for up to four miles on slopes up to 30 degrees. Crossing potential avalanche terrain.

Gear Provided: Skis or Snow Board, Boots, Poles, Avy Beacon, Shovel, Probe, and Avy Airbag.

Required Gear NOT Provided: Clothing appropriate for skiing (NO COTTON), base layers, mid insulating layer, and waterproof outer layer. Thick non-cotton socks for skiing. Gloves light and heavyweights. Sunglasses and/or goggles. Beanie or a brimmed hat. Water and food (lunch and dinner) for the day.

Required: Within 48 hours prior to departure, gear setup is required at Adventures Unlimited. Gear cannot be issued and set up on the day of departure.

All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

MUST BE A BLUE LEVEL RESORT SKIER.
