Rain Forest Photography
Difficulty: 3/5
Departure time-Return time: 0700-1800
Meeting location: Northwest Adventure Center
Cost: $75
The Quinault Rain Forest Loop is a 30-mile road that takes you around Lake Quinault on the south side of Olympic National Park. We will visit many different locales to photograph landscapes, waterfalls, streams and even structures such as the Lake Quinault Lodge. Keep an eye out for Roosevelt Elk, Black Tail Deer, Cougars, Bald Eagles, Bobcats, and even Black Bears. On this excursion, we will make short trips on trails that are generally flat.
Participant Restrictions: Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Max participant headcount: 12
What ODR provides: Transportation and instruction
What you pack: Camera & lenses, extra batteries, memory cards, tripod and appropriate clothing and waterproof or resistant shoes. As this is a rainforest I recommend bringing wet weather gear. I also suggest bringing either a rain cover or clear shower cap to help protect your camera from rain along with a microfiber cloth for lenses. Bring water and lunch/snacks.
