Soldiers stationed at JBLM are required to be in PT Uniform 0630-0800 on all duty days as per the I Corps Blue Book.

Special Operations Soldiers may conduct PT in all black, fitness uniforms that are approved by the unit's Commander.

Fitness Center Dress Code

Tops:
Strapless blouses, swimsuits, women’s bikini-like items, or visible undergarments/sports bras.

Bottoms:
Slacks, jeans, jean-cutoffs, swimsuits, women’s bikini-like items, or visible undergarments.

Footwear:
Open-toed shoes, flip flops, or sandals.

Due to safety concerns (including an increased risk of dehydration and heat illness), garments made of plastic, rubber, nylon, etc. that are specifically designed to increase perspiration are not authorized in any JBLM fitness center.

Printed material on clothing containing indecent material is prohibited in JBLM fitness centers. Examples of indecent material include, but are not limited to: sexually suggestive material; material associated with gender, sex, or racial discrimination; or cursed words.

Keyrings, chains, civilian belts, or other exterior paraphernalia may not be worn when utilizing equipment, as these items may damage upholstered machine/bench padding or become entangled in the equipment causing a safety hazard.

Tops:
T-shirts, sweatshirts, and exercise tops. Torso must remain covered at all times. Torso is defined as the trunk of a human body consisting of the chest, abdomen, back and sides.

Bottoms:
Exercise shorts and sweatpants. Buttocks must remain covered at all times.

Footwear:
Closed-toed shoes (gyms/exercise/tennis shoes or weightlifting boots.) Boots are also authorized to be worn when utilizing cardiovascular equipment. Always ensure shoes/boots are clean prior to entering workout areas.

Attire must be conservative and modest in nature.

Service members may wear ACUs/ABUs while exercising while in the JBLM fitness centers.

This policy is in accordance with JBLM Policy Memorandum #7, Dress Code for JBLM Sports and Fitness Centers dated 05 AUG 20.
