- Rent boats, kayaks and paddleboards at the marina or the NW Adventure Center.
- Please take the state-mandated training before renting watercraft (motorized and non-motorized).
- We have repaired the boat launch!

Hours are dawn to dusk at these two locations.

No swimming is allowed at any other JBLM beach location.
- No lifeguards on duty at any JBLM beaches.
- No alcohol is permitted on the beaches. The only exception is for unit events when an Exception to Policy is requested through Outdoor Recreation (initiated during the pavilion reservation process).
- Please help keep our parks clean; Pack it in, pack it out. There are trash receptacles located throughout the park as well as large dumpsters near the entrance/exit of the park to dispose of any unwanted items.
- Use caution when swimming in American Lake and other local bodies of water. Waters in the area maintain a constant temperature year-round, and there’s a risk of hypothermia.
- Stay hydrated.
- Use sunscreen.
- Check on friends and neighbors.
- Please don’t leave children or pets in your vehicle, even for a second. Temps can reach lethal levels very quickly.
