Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail

The Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail (P2C), formerly known as the John Wayne Pioneer Trail, spans 300 miles across two-thirds of Washington – from the western slopes of the Cascade Mountains to the Idaho border. Some 23 miles of trail follow the former Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad through Yakima Training Center property and are dually managed and maintained by the U.S. Army and Washington State Parks. Public access to the P2C Trail does not require a recreation card; however, as Yakima Training Center is an active military training installation, users are reminded to remain on the trail at all times. There are is little to no water or public amenities available on YTC-administered lands at this time.
