Automotive Skills is a place where you can take care of your vehicle without paying high off-post prices. Whether you’re brand new to car care or already know your way around an engine, Automotive Skills gives you the tools, space, and help you need to get the job done.

- Take short classes to learn basic car care

Who Can Use Automotive Skills
Automotive Skills is open to eligible ID cardholders and their families. Some age and safety rules apply in shop areas, and all vehicles must be registered and insured.
Before using the shop, customers must complete a short safety class.

All customers must have military I.D. All work and clean-up needs to be completed 30 minutes after closing time. Shirt and closed-toe shoes are required to work in shop area. Children under age 13 are not allowed in the shop area. A coin-operated, 24/7 self-serve car wash is located next door.

Special Services
Free oil change for spouses of deployed Service members
Spouses of deployed Service members can bring in a copy of orders to get free oil change service. This is for the service only. Please bring your own oil and filter. Call for an appointment.
Free 16-point Maintenance Inspection for deployed spouses
Spouses of deployed service members can bring in a copy of their orders to get a free vehicle inspection. The inspection service is free but does not include the cost of any parts or supplies. Call for an appointment.
Buying a used car? Lemon-Aid
We'll do a safety inspection and assess the vehicle’s condition before you buy. Fee: $35. Call for appointment.

Classes and Instruction
Lube and Oil Change Class – Learn to change the oil and lube your vehicle. 1 session. $25 plus the cost of supplies.
