Swim lessons will resume July 11. For the safety of our customers and staff, they will be offered as parent/child or to our upper-skills level swimmers, since this will reduce the close contact between swimmer and instructor. At this time, lessons are only being offered at McChord Outdoor Pool in the mornings and evenings around our recreational swim hours. We appreciate your patience as we navigate these waters.
Due to high demand, we are changing access to McChord Pool. Effective July 3, customers will be allowed to access to the pool in 1hr 45 min increments starting at the odd hours. For example, at 11 a.m., swimmers will be allowed into the pool. At 12:45 p.m., they will be asked to leave so the pool area can be sanitized and prepped for the next group. The next group will be allowed entrance at 1 p.m.. Capacity limits are still in place at 58 max. We appreciate your patience as we try to allow as many service members and their families to take advantage of our outdoor pool.
There are physical distancing protocols in place, and we appreciate your patience with the difference in operations as we strive to protect the health & safety of you and our team. Gyms are open to active duty, Reserves and National Guard; when visiting, please bring your ID, mask and water bottle. (Mask is not required during exercise.) Swipe in AND out. Clean equipment after use. Be courteous of others and limit your workout to one hour. **Showers are closed; water fountains are inoperable (water fillers are available).
