Among Us Tournament

We will be hosting several games of the new and popular game "Among Us" on Friday, October 9th beginning at 4:30.  We will be playing for one hour.  The game is available via Steam (on PC) and through the App Store and Google Play store.  Anyone with the game is invited to play.  There is a maximum game size of 10 people.  We will be e-mailing those that register a link to our Discord server for voice chat.

Among Us is a new game that has multiple interfaces (mobile, computer, tablet) that encourages play with others.  It is a game of teamwork and betrayal.  Players are either Crewmates or an Imposter.  For the crew, the objective is to fill your group task bar or discover the imposter.  They will also do the following: complete tasks to fill the gauge, react to impostor’s sabotage, call emergency meetings when an imposter is discovered, report dead bodies, check admin map and security for suspicious activity. The impostor’s objective is to kill off the crew.  They should also do the following: Blend in with the crew, sneak through vents, pretend to run tasks, sabotage the ship and confuse the crew, close doors and trap victims, and kill off the crew between cooldowns.  While playing, no talking is allowed to keep the game fair between the Crew and Impostor.  If a player is killed by the imposter, they cannot talk until the game ends.  Ghosts still run their assigned tasks working towards a possibly crew win.  When someone reports a dead body or calls an emergency meeting the crew gathers to discuss with they know about the Impostor.  Players call now talk openly about who they think the Imposter is and what information they have. Ghosts cannot talk as they already know who the impostor is.  Impostors will try to prove their innocence or accuse another crew member.  After the discussion, you vote for who you think is the impostor.  Whoever gets majority votes will be ejected from the ship.  If you don’t have enough information and have decided as a crew, you can also skip voting to avoid ejecting someone innocent and gather more information.

We will have audio through our invite only discord.  We would organize the game through discord once everyone arrives.  We will play for one hour.
