The Yakima River is in Washington State about 2.5 hours east of JBLM in the rain shadow of the Cascade Mountains. The Yakima is Washington's only Blue Ribbon River and is a popular day or overnight trip for anglers from the JBLM area. The Yakima is considered a "Big Western" style river and attracts anglers from all over the world wanting to pursue a high-quality walk and wade or floating fly-fishing experience.

Our Yakima River-led trips are both walk and wade or for an extra cost, float-style adventures. Most fishing is done from the banks or wading into the shallows of the river. Although some of the best fishing is done from a moving drift boat or fishing raft with 2 anglers in each boat, it is not necessary. We can float anywhere from 5-20 miles in a single day depending upon river conditions. If anglers enjoy wading, simply express this to your guide and they will do their best to give you the best possible wade fishing experience. Our friendly guides will do everything they can to make your adventure the best it can be.

Yakima River-led trips include:
Breakfast and dinner,
Fly Rods and Reels (bring your own if you have it),
Flies, tippet, and small tackle items,
Shuttle service while fishing in the Yakima Canyon,
Non-alcoholic Beverages.

You pack:
Fishing License,
Waders and boots,
Personal Clothing,
Personal Food and Water,
Overnight camping gear (You will be sent a recommended packing list).
