Operation KUDO

#
Note: This event has already passed.

Operation KUDO is back on Aug. 2, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Kids Understanding Deployment Operations (KUDO) is a mock deployment for children 5 - 12 years old. The event is held in an effort to help children understand a little of what their parent goes through when they deploy. The event will be kid friendly while having military gear and various static displays for them to explore. There will be 5 groups or "Chalks" of children "deploying" to a secret location. They will be shuttled via buses from Bldg 576 to the secret deployed location while parents wait at Bldg 576 for their return to "Welcome" them home. The parents will have an opportunity to create welcome home signs and visit a variety of base agency information tables while waiting for their children to return. The children will be chaperoned by adults, and are expected to gone from 1 to 1 1/2 hours before being returned to Bldg 576.

Note: This event is open to all military children who are able to access the base to attend.

Deployers must arrive during their 30 min show-time window or risk the opportunity to participate.

There will be signs along the road directing you to the event.
