To celebrate 50 years of the Army’s ODR program, we’re inviting everyone to the Outdoor Rec Expo & Fishing Derby Saturday, June 12, 7 a.m.–1 p.m. at Shoreline Park!
- Fishing derby from 7-11 a.m. (Washington State's free fishing day! No license required.) Rules
Starting at 9 a.m., you’ll be able to see a variety of workshops, demonstrations, rentals and opportunities to learn about JBLM’s ODR program!
- Instruction and demonstrations of SUPs, kayaks and fly fishing
- Free climbing wall for kids
- Free kids' fishing tank
- Free axe throwing and archery (closed-toed shoes required to participate)
- Door prizes include: Fishing & camping equipment, outdoor rec trips, rentals of kayaks/boats/paddleboards and cabin stays!
- Paddleboard races at noon (pre-register prior to noon to enter)
- Live music from Straw Hat Revival starting at 11 a.m.
- Outdoor Rec Adventure/fishing films on the outdoor screen
- Retail fishing shop
