June 17–21 Getting to Know You Week:

Unravel the mysteries of the library where stories come alive and secret passageways
await. The Hidden Librray is the perfect adventure for curious minds who love to read, explore and create.
July 1–5 American History Week:
Get ready for a week of discovery, teamwork and all things history as we venture back in time to explore the stories of American History. There will be plenty of games, map making and time to share what we’ve learned.
July 8–12 The Music Box Week:
Unleash your inner rock star! Discover the magic of music and create your own melodies. Rock out with instruments, sing your heart out and move and groove as you learn what it’s like behind-the-scenes. Sing, play and create!
July 15–19 Warriors & Wizards Week:
Forge your destiny and master the skills of a true hero. Choose your path, build forts, embark on a physical challenge and make unforgettable friendships.
July 22–26 Lost City of Atlantis Week:
Become a junior archaeologist while making ancient maps, building mini submarines, making coral jewelry and using recycled materials to build your own underwater city.
July 29–Aug. 2 Olympics Week:
Train like champions and experience the thrill of friendly competition. Particpate in events such as a relay race, sack race, water balloon toss and an obstacle course. Design medals, create victory signs and learn about Olympic traditions.Aug. 5–9 Riddles of the Sphinx Week:
Crack codes and solve riddles during a scavenger hunt around the center. Follow the clues that lead to fun and unravel secrets through mythological mania, mummy makeovers and Pharaoh’s fun.
Aug.12–16 Garden of Dreams Week:
Budding artists, storytellers and nature enthusiasts will get a chance to blossom this week. Paint your dreams on canvas, create a story with colorful leaves and sculpt clay creatures.
August 19–23 Camelot Week:

Journey through the history of music from the 1950s–1990s. Join us to sing, dance, play dress-up and create different art throughout the decades.

Join us as we venture to different parts of Washington and check out new trails, test our endurance and stamina and investigate new critters.
July 15–19 Dino Week:
Dinosaur week means no technology! We will recreate a modified Flinstone age and take the time to unplug and enjoy the fruits of nature.
July 22–26 Who Run It, Summit Week:

July 29–Aug. 2 World Tour Week:
Grab your passports! As you visit each country, you will collect pictures, information and maps to use while completing a scrapbook of your trip.

Aug. 12–16 Monsters Inc. Week:
Join us as we fuel our world with playful laughs and grunts. Our team, led by wisecracking teachers, will work long and hard hours to ensure the fuel of playful screams.

July 1–5 *Independence Day* Mad Science Week:
Explore scientific experiments and inquiry connected to mad science.
July 8–12 Dinosaur Week:
Jurassic Park meets Cascade in this exploratory adventure filled week of “dino mite” sized fun.
July 15–19 Dream, Explore, Imagine/Gaming Week:
Explore games that encourage fitness, imagination, coding skills and encourage positive relationships through collaboration.
July 22–26 Magic Within Week: Explore characters and concepts for your favorite fantasy genre to include stories, games, crafts and plays.
July 29–Aug. 2 STEAM Week: Robots, gadgets, and thing-a-ma-bobs got nothing on you during this technological and scientific week.
Aug. 5–9 Beach Week/Water Play:
Broaden your knowledge of beach animals and habitats. Cool off with fun in the sun and your toes in the water.
Aug. 12–16 Furry Friends Week:
Learn about animals and their habitats. Investigate and explore animals from diverse habitats with games, activities, crafts and more.

Monday–Friday, 1–7 p.m. Late Nights: July 12 & 19, Aug. 2 & 16 (open until 10 p.m.)

Note: You do not need to be enrolled in before- or after-school care to sign up for school-age Summer Day Camp; however, you must be enrolled with CYS. Summer Day Camp enrollment is weekly and does not guarantee you care when school starts – it is just for those summer weeks.
All interested families must request summer camp programming online at MilitaryChildCare.com and be fully registered with CYS.
Placement is based on the DoD family type and priority list. You will be notified of placement via email.
Children MUST wear appropriate clothing and closed-toed, closed-heeled shoes at all times, especially to participate in field trips. Flip-flops, sandals and slippers are not allowed. Water play shoes must also be closed-toed and closed-heeled.
Medical concerns/special needs: If your child has special needs such as asthma, allergies, diabetes, seizures or any other special need, additional paperwork is required and a (MIAT) meeting may be required prior to starting any CYS program.
A signed permission slip is required for field trips and may be needed for specialty activities. Parents will receive permission slips prior to any activity requiring them.
All camps, activities and field trips are subject to change due to weather, availability and program needs.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed in any CYS program. Information for special dietary requirements can be requested
at the time of registration.
